Iphigenia in Aulis

A nation clamours for war. The Gods demand a sacrifice. One family walk the path to annihilation.

With his ill-tempered military forces assembled at Aulis, Agamemnon waits anxiously for a sign from the Gods: a prophecy that will sanction his violent crusade against Troy and win glory for the Greek army.

Meanwhile, the young Iphigenia stands on the verge of marriage to a famous warrior, and Clytemnestra uncovers a terrible and agonising secret.

Euripides' final tragedy is reimagined as a politically charged and boldly theatrical confrontation with the perils of leadership, national mythology and the slipperiness of truth.
